After having played for 10 minutes, Kerry Sellers managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C. A. Independiente's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kerry Sellers was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Guarei FC's Armando Ruano got control of the ball when Kerry Sellers tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 13 played minutes C. A. Independiente got a freekick which was hit by Tomas Gustafson. C. A. Independiente's Farid Mondragón played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 石朗思 in the 14th minute of play. Kerry Sellers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Kerry Sellers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Guarei FC's Armando Ruano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kerry Sellers in the 19th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kauan de Senna in the 20th minute of play forced C. A. Independiente's goalkeeper Farid Mondragón to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armando Ruano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kerry Sellers, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With his leg Armando Ruano managed to avoid a goal in the 29thth minute, when C. A. Independiente's Kerry Sellers fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. C. A. Independiente's Farid Mondragón played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 石朗思 in the 31st minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Guarei FC's goalkeeper Armando Ruano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sidney Forbes. In the 32nd minute, C. A. Independiente's Sidney Forbes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Armando Ruano. Armando Ruano yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Kerry Sellers might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Armando Ruano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kerry Sellers ran back to his position shaking his head. Armando Ruano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kerry Sellers in the 35th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kerry Sellers in the 38th minute of play forced Guarei FC's goalkeeper Armando Ruano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by 石朗思 in the 41st minute of play forced C. A. Independiente's goalkeeper Farid Mondragón to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Farid Mondragón made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kauan de Senna in the 42nd minute of play. Armando Ruano made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Kerry Sellers sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kerry Sellers in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armando Ruano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 46 minutes Guarei FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Eric Snowden who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Kerry Sellers got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Armando Ruano quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Betinho Ferreira made a kick off. Guarei FC's Armando Ruano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kerry Sellers in the 52nd minute of play. Farid Mondragón stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Kauan de Senna's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tommie Bolton in the 54th minute of play forced Guarei FC's goalkeeper Armando Ruano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Armando Ruano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tommie Bolton, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. After a rather tough play, C. A. Independiente's Claudio Marangoni got a free kick in the 57th minute. After 60 minutes, Sid Chadwick mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the C. A. Independiente and the Guarei FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sid Chadwick hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kerry Sellers in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armando Ruano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. C. A. Independiente were awarded a corner in the 64th minute after Guarei FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tommie Bolton took the corner. C. A. Independiente's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tommie Bolton in the 70th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kerry Sellers in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Armando Ruano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 77 minutes into the match, Kerry Sellers had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Armando Ruano. Guarei FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kerry Sellers was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. C. A. Independiente made a substitution. Garth Gould replaced Alfredo Felder. Guarei FC made a substitution. Kléberson Paraíba replaced Kacper Burdalski. In the 82ndth minute of the game Kerry Sellers who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guarei FC's Armando Ruano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Sid Chadwick was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Tommie Bolton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Ruano having to interfere. Armando Ruano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kerry Sellers in the 88th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kerry Sellers in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The C. A. Independiente fans cheered their team off the field, for while Guarei FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
