Sidney Forbes took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hernan Licerio. Hernan Licerio dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 14th minute, Kerry Sellers left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The C. A. Independiente fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudio Marangoni in the 16th minute of play forced Sporting Club Victoria's goalkeeper Hernan Licerio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 18th minute, Kerry Sellers ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hernan Licerio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. If Kerry Sellers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Hernan Licerio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sidney Forbes, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. When C. A. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tommie Bolton in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hernan Licerio saved Sporting Club Victoria from getting behind. Hernan Licerio came out of the goal and Tommie Bolton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hernan Licerio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tommie Bolton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sid Chadwick's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 74thth minute, Hernan Licerio skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Hernan Licerio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kerry Sellers in the 77th minute of the match. Tadeo Artaldo kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Kerry Sellers blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hernan Licerio having to make a save.
