After 7 minutes Club Deportivo O IRIXO's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was İsmail Doğa who took care of the corner kick. Göksel Canfeda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gorka Dominguez in the 11th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Alp Enginalp managed to get in a good position for a shot. istanbulls's supporters rose to their feet, but Alp Enginalp was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claudio Aznar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Göksel Canfeda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Federico Bouzas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Federico Bouzas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Göksel Canfeda having to make a save. Federico Bouzas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Göksel Canfeda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 33 minutes of play, istanbulls's Luís Senna made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Claudio Aznar was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Alp Enginalp got free with Claudio Aznar in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Haldun Özol kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. The supporters of Club Deportivo O IRIXO booed when istanbulls was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position.
