The BLACK STAR FC fans' excitement grew in the 6th match minute when BLACK STAR FC's Ronalds McDonald looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. BLACK STAR FC's Lin Yan Yan was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Keylor Navas in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 31 minutes into the match, 『挑战者』Wolf Totem's goalkeeper Keylor Navas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ronalds McDonald. Emmanuel Dandy showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from 卓真洋, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. 卓真洋 was the one to do the kick off. Emmanuel Dandy was a little too slow when 赵乐银 got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 51st minute. The score was now 1-1. In the 61st minute of the match BLACK STAR FC got a corner. 『挑战者』Wolf Totem's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Lucien Ratté ran over to the corner to take the kick. Keylor Navas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dito de Toledo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
