Mané Moreno showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bizi Baza, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 17th minute Black StarZ were awarded a corner. Honorato Nevada went to the cornerflag to take it. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Everardo Oxel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rhett Chevrette in the 40th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

A well-hit corner resulted in Cristi Popovici heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. 63 minutes into the match, FC Gustavo FPRMZ's goal looked a bit too open when Miguel Arias came free, but Mané Moreno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, Black StarZ's goal looked a bit too open when Rhett Chevrette came free, but Everardo Oxel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Black StarZ's Bizi Baza got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Black StarZ's Delmiro Berriotxoa was substituted for Anselmo Cordero. Damaso Montess short, quick shot in the 85thth minute got Mané Moreno to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 86 minutes into the game, Rhett Chevrette was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Gustavo FPRMZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Black StarZ the free kick. Everardo Oxel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rhett Chevrette, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Damaso Montes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mané Moreno having to interfere. Black StarZ's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
