Chicão Sanches took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zorko Hendrickx, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. ACR SA were awarded a corner in the 5th minute after Tigre das Américas's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Wincenty Laskowski took the corner. Roch Olchawa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cipriano Proença's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Ludomir Grucza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Chicão Sanches made a huge save. 11 minutes into the game, ACR SA's Zorko Hendrickx nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Chicão Sanches made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. After some careless play in the Tigre das Américas defense, Fred-Marc Firmino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Chicão Sanches. The Tigre das Américas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Chicão Sanches should have stopped the shot. After 22 minutes of play, Tigre das Américas's Cipriano Proença made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Roch Olchawa was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 26th minute, Emiliano Sotil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. ACR SA's Roch Olchawa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cipriano Proença in the 28th minute of play. Enzo Batistuta's late challenge caught a ACR SA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Enzo Batistuta helped the player get up and apologised. In the 30th minute, Enzo Batistuta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Chicão Sanches showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ludomir Grucza, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Proença in the 33rd minute of play forced ACR SA's goalkeeper Roch Olchawa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Chicão Sanches showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bogumil Dziurowicz in the 34th minute of the match. Chicão Sanches made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zorko Hendrickx in the 42nd minute of play. Cipriano Proença took the ball and in the 46 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roch Olchawa. Roch Olchawa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Cipriano Proença made the kick off in the second half. Chicão Sanches came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by ACR SA's Fred-Marc Firmino. But to his dismay, Fred-Marc Firmino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Tigre das Américas's Cipriano Proença slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Roch Olchawa. That made the score 3-3 after 55 minutes of play. Cipriano Proença could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Roch Olchawa made a huge save. 65 minutes into the match, Tigre das Américas's Leopoldo Tavares sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roch Olchawa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Cipriano Proença came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Tigre das Américas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cipriano Proença couldn't finish the play. Leopoldo Tavares recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as Tigre das Américas's Cipriano Proença slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Roch Olchawa. That made the score 3-5 after 76 minutes of play. With a little luck, ACR SA's Roch Olchawa got control of the ball when Cipriano Proença tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 80th match minute, Tigre das Américas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enzo Batistuta to maneuver through the defense. In the 84th minute, Leopoldo Tavares fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Roch Olchawa stood somewhat misplaced when Cipriano Proença came free in front of goal and shot 3-6 to the left of him in the 86 minute. 91 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when ACR SA's Zorko Hendrickx fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. 93 minutes into the game, Raphael Madureira was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tigre das Américas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ACR SA the free kick.
