The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Ercan Sabahaddin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iwan Gamza was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. Ercan Sabahaddin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Iwan Gamza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, GreenSkar FC's Jan-Ove Hansson got a free kick in the 6th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefan Dobay in the 13th minute of play forced GreenSkar FC's goalkeeper Iwan Gamza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Stefan Dobay had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iwan Gamza. GreenSkar FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Stefan Dobay was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. If Stefan Dobay had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Iwan Gamza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefan Dobay in the 24th minute of play. After recieving a nice pass, Carpathians's Connor Hughes tried to score from far away in the 29th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Matei Răducu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Codrin Stana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cazimir Feteanu in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Iwan Gamza saved GreenSkar FC from getting behind. Cazimir Feteanu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iwan Gamza read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind GreenSkar FC's goalkeeper Iwan Gamza, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Carpathians's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Connor Hughes in the 37th minute. In the 42nd minute Carl Enström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matei Răducu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 43 minutes of play, Carpathians's Cazimir Feteanu made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iwan Gamza was left in no man's land by his defense there!

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cazimir Feteanu to make the kick off. Cazimir Feteanu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 54th minute of the match, but Iwan Gamza made a huge save. In the 60th minute of the match Carpathians got a corner. GreenSkar FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Connor Hughes ran over to the corner to take the kick. It was a well-played corner which Leontin Ţurcaş managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Carpathians's Martin Zafiu was substituted for Laurențiu Iurea. In the 64th minute, Cazimir Feteanu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Iwan Gamza. The goal made the score 0-4. In the 67th minute, Carpathians's Cazimir Feteanu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Iwan Gamza. Iwan Gamza yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. Iwan Gamza was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cazimir Feteanu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-6 in the 71 minute of play. In the 74th minute of the match, Cazimir Feteanu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Iwan Gamza saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Iwan Gamza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cazimir Feteanu in the 77th minute of play. GreenSkar FC:s Iwan Gamza showed great skill when he stopped Alin Nichitelea:s penalty. In the 88th minute, Mădălin Lipan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the match clock showed 91 minutes, the score became 0-7 when Cazimir Feteanu sped through GreenSkar FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Iwan Gamza. Iwan Gamza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cazimir Feteanu in the 94th minute of play. Iwan Gamza was out of position in the 97 minute of play, and Cazimir Feteanu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cazimir Feteanu really showed his touch with that goal: 0-8. Carpathians's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
