Christopher Bogren got a throw-in 25 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Fabrizio Ravanelli. Samyang Ramen's Alex Wållander played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronaldinho Gaucho in the 30th minute of play. Haji Sarap showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Göran Nordgren in the 37th minute of the match. The throw-in from Gabriel Hedling in the 38th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Joinville City - FSCMZ's Geovanildo Luis. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Geovanildo Luis to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Walter Siggman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Haji Sarap saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joinville City - FSCMZ's Haji Sarap played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hans-Jürgen Nudelman in the 58th minute of play. Geovanildo Luis blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alex Wållander having to make a save. Alex Wållander had great luck who in the 80thth minute grab hold of the ball when Adhemar Santos from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 81st minute of the match Joinville City - FSCMZ got a corner. Samyang Ramen's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Henrique Camargo ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Henrique Camargo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alex Wållander quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The Joinville City - FSCMZ supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Joinville City - FSCMZ would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
