The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Bennvar Noobel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ubaldo Padro, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Bennvar Noobel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ubaldo Padro in the 6th minute. Ellis Schenck didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Song Wei Yun went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. When Per Hägglund came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Zlatan BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Per Hägglund couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carl Beck in the 17th minute of play forced Seraċini Għawdxin's goalkeeper Bennvar Noobel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ellis Schenck made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Filip Bejrut in the 20th minute of play. In the 24th minute of the match, Ubaldo Padro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Bennvar Noobel was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 28th match minute, Seraċini Għawdxin was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jostein Røvik to maneuver through the defense. When the match clock showed 33 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Fernando Negro sped through Zlatan BK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Ellis Schenck. Bennvar Noobel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ubaldo Padro in the 35th minute. Zlatan BK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Per Hägglund in the 37th minute. Bennvar Noobel was out of position in the 39 minute of play, and Ubaldo Padro capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ubaldo Padro really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Bejrut in the 49th minute of play forced Zlatan BK's goalkeeper Ellis Schenck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Zlatan BK players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Seraċini Għawdxin were winning 1-2.

Zlatan BK's Ellis Schenck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Negro in the 55th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Seraċini Għawdxin's goal looked a bit too open when Ubaldo Padro came free, but Bennvar Noobel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bennvar Noobel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ubaldo Padro in the 64th minute of play. A collision led to Zlatan BK getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Verner Holmstedt hit a great ball. Zlatan BK's Uygar Orhan was substituted for Carl Beck. Zlatan BK made a substitution. Tobias Tomasson replaced Mariusz Kloczko. The supporters of Seraċini Għawdxin booed when Zlatan BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Verner Holmstedt didn't get a good kick on the ball. 73 minutes into the match, Seraċini Għawdxin's Filip Bejrut sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ellis Schenck narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bennvar Noobel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Karl-Oskar Kinnman's shot from short distance in the 74th minute. 87 minutes into the game, Fernando Negro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-5. Ellis Schenck was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bennvar Noobel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Oskar Kinnman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ubaldo Padro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bennvar Noobel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Seraċini Għawdxin's zone, Ubaldo Padro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bennvar Noobel came out of the goal and Ubaldo Padro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Seraċini Għawdxin supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Seraċini Għawdxin would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
