Pedro Honesto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artemio Rik in the 38th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 47th minute by Filiberto Aimar got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When Romulo Marin fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored S4dm F.C.'s protests and gave Romulo Marin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 79th match minute, S4dm F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Romulo Marin to maneuver through the defense. In the 80th minute, Ubaldo Hartz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedro Honesto was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. Nereo Artal succeeded in the game's 82nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-5. Pedro Honesto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nereo Artal in the 86th minute of the match. Ubaldo Hartz was extremely unlucky when he, in the 89th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Artemio Rik was extremely unlucky when he, in the 90th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. The crowd rose to their feet as Artemio Rik kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Pedro Honesto. That made the score 2-6 in the 96 minute of play. When the match was over Inter MIAMI could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than S4dm F.C. throughout the match.
