But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronaldo Alcântara couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ronaldo Alcântara in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Pierre Peeters saved Lyon 69ers from getting behind. 22 minutes into the game, Ferreira Lopes MZC's Ronaldo Alcântara nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pierre Peeters made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 25 minutes into the match, Lyon 69ers's goal looked a bit too open when Ronaldo Alcântara came free, but Pierre Peeters reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ferreira Lopes MZC's Tomé Montenegro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charles-Henri Maron in the 37th minute of play. 38 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ferreira Lopes MZC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Salim Desbois was slow to take the kick. During this time Lyon 69ers's players had a chance to rest. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Charles-Henri Maron advanced and headed the ball into goal, 1-1 in the 38th minute. Tom Beaunes short, quick shot in the 43rdth minute got Tomé Montenegro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Lyon 69ers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ferreira Lopes MZC the free kick. A collision led to Lyon 69ers getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Reynald Baillou hit a great ball. The supporters of Lyon 69ers booed when Ferreira Lopes MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dário Martins didn't get a good kick on the ball. 55 minutes into the match, Charles-Henri Maron notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Ferreira Lopes MZC's Tomé Montenegro. Tomé Montenegro was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The referee felt a red card was in order, 82 minutes into the game, when Reynald Baillou put in a rough tackle. 82 minutes into the game, one of Lyon 69ers:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Dedé Paiva shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Ronaldo Alcântara took the ball and in the 89 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pierre Peeters. Pierre Peeters dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Ronaldo Alcântara could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Pierre Peeters made a huge save. Franklin Souza kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. In the 97thth minute of the game Ronaldo Alcântara who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lyon 69ers's Pierre Peeters was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ferreira Lopes MZC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
