Cayetano Francho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franklin Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Tomé Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leo Chesus in the 7th minute of play. After some careless play in the Ferreira Lopes MZC defense, Leo Chesus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tomé Montenegro. The Ferreira Lopes MZC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tomé Montenegro should have stopped the shot. Tomé Montenegro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leo Chesus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 14 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ferreira Lopes MZC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Norberto Naelio was slow to take the kick. During this time Patay Juniors's players had a chance to rest. Tomé Montenegro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgard Ledesma in the 21st minute of the match. With a little luck, Ferreira Lopes MZC's Tomé Montenegro got control of the ball when Cedric Ceballos tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cedric Ceballos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cayetano Francho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dida Teixeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 31 minutes into the match, Ferreira Lopes MZC's goalkeeper Tomé Montenegro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cedric Ceballos. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Patay Juniors's goalkeeper Cayetano Francho, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Güntekin Enginer in the 36th minute of play forced Ferreira Lopes MZC's goalkeeper Tomé Montenegro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Leo Chesus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomé Montenegro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgard Ledesma, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dida Teixeira during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Ferreira Lopes MZC getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Dida Teixeira hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Prospero Petri to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Sidnei Bertassi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ferreira Lopes MZC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Patay Juniors the free kick. After 55 played minutes Ferreira Lopes MZC got a freekick which was hit by Sidnei Bertassi. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldo Alcântara in the 58th minute of play forced Patay Juniors's goalkeeper Cayetano Francho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 59 minutes had been played when some careless play by Patay Juniors's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dedé Paiva was slow to take the kick. During this time Ferreira Lopes MZC's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Dedé Paiva got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cayetano Francho quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 60 played minutes Ferreira Lopes MZC got a freekick which was hit by Luka Beaugendre. 67 minutes into the match, Ferreira Lopes MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Ledesma came free, but Tomé Montenegro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tomé Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgard Ledesma in the 69th minute of play. Dida Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Cayetano Francho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Ferreira Lopes MZC's Ronaldo Alcântara got a free kick in the 85th minute. The supporters of Patay Juniors booed when Ferreira Lopes MZC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. João Francisco Vianna didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91st minute Edgard Ledesma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomé Montenegro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Ferreira Lopes MZC's goal looked a bit too open when Güntekin Enginer came free, but Tomé Montenegro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Patay Juniors's Güntekin Enginer got a free kick in the 94th minute. Ferreira Lopes MZC's Ronaldo Alcântara got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Patay Juniors's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
