After a rather tough play, Otelul Darmanesti's Martin Ducký got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 13th minute Dennis Berardinelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvaldo Brasil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nae Pavel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edgar Salles in the 18th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Dennis Berardinelli's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edvaldo Brasil was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. 24 minutes into the match, Otelul Darmanesti's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Guilherme Paraense came free, but Nae Pavel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 25th minute Milosz Gabis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvaldo Brasil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 27 minutes SAS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Gheorghe Şelaru who took care of the corner kick. Nae Pavel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Guilherme Paraense in the 28th minute of the match. The Otelul Darmanesti fans' excitement grew in the 29th match minute when Otelul Darmanesti's Milosz Gabis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Edvaldo Brasil was out of position in the 32 minute of play, and Dennis Berardinelli capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dennis Berardinelli really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. 35 minutes into the match, SAS's goalkeeper Edvaldo Brasil had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vladimir Lenin. Agostinho Carneiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Manole Brănescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Edvaldo Brasil made a huge save. Edvaldo Brasil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vladimir Lenin in the 45th minute of play. In the 47th match minute, Otelul Darmanesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kennet Johansson to maneuver through the defense. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vladimir Lenin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Nae Pavel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agostinho Carneiro in the 51st minute of play. In the 55th minute, Luiz Guilherme Madureira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 59th minute Vladimir Lenin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvaldo Brasil saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 62 minutes into the match, Otelul Darmanesti's goal looked a bit too open when Edgar Salles came free, but Nae Pavel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 63 minutes, Dale Fowler mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Otelul Darmanesti and the SAS players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 63 played minutes Otelul Darmanesti got a freekick which was hit by Dale Fowler. A collision led to Otelul Darmanesti getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Manole Brănescu hit a great ball. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Milosz Gabis couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vladimir Lenin in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edvaldo Brasil prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Milosz Gabis came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Otelul Darmanesti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Milosz Gabis couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dennis Berardinelli in the 87th minute of play forced SAS's goalkeeper Edvaldo Brasil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Agostinho Carneiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 93 minutes into the game, Manole Brănescu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Otelul Darmanesti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SAS the free kick. A collision led to Otelul Darmanesti getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Otelul Darmanesti were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of SAS for a fine match.
