When the match clock showed 13 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Rigan Frankson sped through Mainumby's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Guaberto Cucao. 21 minutes into the match, Mainumby's goal looked a bit too open when Rigan Frankson came free, but Guaberto Cucao reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Guaberto Cucao showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beagan Colwell in the 22nd minute of the match. 1948 MKS were awarded a corner in the 24th minute after Mainumby's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ersin Uyguralp took the corner. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Torrey Molloy in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guaberto Cucao prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rigan Frankson in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guaberto Cucao saved Mainumby from getting behind. Rigan Frankson struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Guaberto Cucao didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for 1948 MKS. With a little luck, 1948 MKS's Ter Stegen got control of the ball when Nunez Gizon tried to sneak it across the goal line. When 1948 MKS's Rigan Frankson in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mainumby's goalie prevented a goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Mainumby's Lázaro Chap was substituted for Ladislao Serafo. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Nunez Gizon was the one to do the kick off. When Amancio Intxixu fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mainumby's protests and gave Amancio Intxixu a yellow card for diving instead. 1948 MKS made a substitution. Mack Willson replaced Çakabey Sirer. In the 58th minute, Nunez Gizon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rigan Frankson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Guaberto Cucao tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 1948 MKS's Rigan Frankson got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arnold McDecland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guaberto Cucao having to interfere. Torrey Molloy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Guaberto Cucao made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rigan Frankson in the 70th minute. Guaberto Cucao took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Torrey Molloy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Torrey Molloy scored 0-3 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Guaberto Cucao, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 74th minute Adan Gonza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ter Stegen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Silvano Tiadoro charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Silvano Tiadoro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, 1948 MKS's Torrey Molloy got a free kick in the 84th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Mainumby's zone, Torrey Molloy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guaberto Cucao came out of the goal and Torrey Molloy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mainumby's defense didn't have a chance, in the 92nd minute, when Torrey Molloy scored to the left of an out of position Guaberto Cucao, making the score, 0-4. 1948 MKS's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
