The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Romão Soares during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Sporting Clube de Gaya's Romão Soares got a free kick in the 5th minute. Luís Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Levent Hicran, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Romão Soares was shown his second yellow card after 7 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After a rather tough play, Sporting Clube de Gaya's Romão Soares got a free kick in the 8th minute. Luís Costa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Levent Hicran, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 14th minute Serafo Tome shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Francesco Cremonese had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Luís Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francesco Cremonese in the 15th minute of the match. When Tony Rosa came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the San Mauro A Mare FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tony Rosa couldn't finish the play. Abel Gasparyan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 20th play minutes Levent Hicran shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Luís Costa and just under the crossbar into goal. After 24 played minutes San Mauro A Mare FC got a freekick which was hit by Abel Gasparyan. 27 minutes into the match, Sporting Clube de Gaya's goal looked a bit too open when Francesco Cremonese came free, but Luís Costa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tony Rosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Luís Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Sporting Clube de Gaya getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Marcus Edwards hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Sporting Clube de Gaya's Sebastián Coates got a free kick in the 32nd minute. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sporting Clube de Gaya's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Dinu Dobre was slow to take the kick. During this time San Mauro A Mare FC's players had a chance to rest. Dinu Dobre made a great header on San Mauro A Mare FC's corner, it was just that Sporting Clube de Gaya's Luís Costa managed to reach the ball for a save. Luís Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francesco Cremonese, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Sporting Clube de Gaya's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The Sporting Clube de Gaya players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. San Mauro A Mare FC were winning 0-3.

San Mauro A Mare FC's Augusto Riso was substituted for Abel Gasparyan. Dinu Dobre, 58 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The crowd rose to their feet as San Mauro A Mare FC's Dinu Dobre slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Luís Costa. That made the score 0-4 after 59 minutes of play. 63 minutes into the match, Sporting Clube de Gaya's goalkeeper Luís Costa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Serafo Tome. With a little luck, Sporting Clube de Gaya's Luís Costa got control of the ball when Levent Hicran tried to sneak it across the goal line. Augusto Riso kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Sporting Clube de Gaya's Luís Costa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tony Rosa in the 68th minute of play. Sporting Clube de Gaya's Luís Costa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Sporting Clube de Gaya from getting a goal against them. San Mauro A Mare FC's Zhu Yun Bin was substituted for Tony Rosa. 72 minutes had been played when some careless play by Sporting Clube de Gaya's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Sporting Clube de Gaya's defense didn't have a chance, in the 78th minute, when Serafo Tome scored to the left of an out of position Luís Costa, making the score, 0-5. Luís Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zhu Yun Bin in the 82nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armin Berardini in the 83rd minute of play forced Sporting Clube de Gaya's goalkeeper Luís Costa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Zhu Yun Bin dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Luís Costa, 0-6. 92 minutes into the match, Armin Berardini notched a goal, 0-7, to the right of Sporting Clube de Gaya's Luís Costa. Luís Costa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Shao Chao Chuan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogério Mitovski having to interfere. When the final whistle sounded San Mauro A Mare FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sporting Clube de Gaya.
