The supporters of SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. booed when Seagulls was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gido van Loen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Steffen Michalsky took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jurre Everts. Seagulls's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, Niculae Ungureanu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jurre Everts. Seagulls's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Niculae Ungureanu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 11 minutes had been played when some careless play by Seagulls's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Toralf Hell was slow to take the kick. During this time SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s players had a chance to rest. David Elodio made a great header on SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s corner, it was just that Seagulls's Jurre Everts managed to reach the ball for a save. 12 minutes into the game, SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s David Elodio nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jurre Everts breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A hard and well directed shot from David Elodio led 22 minutes into the game to a goal after the ball had bounced deceptively just in front of the goal. Seagulls's Jurre Everts became a little unsure and couldn't grip the ball before it was over the goalline. Thus it was 3-0. Niculae Ungureanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Jurre Everts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, David Elodio put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jurre Everts. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Elodio in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jurre Everts saved Seagulls from getting behind. A hard shot 38 in the game by David Elodio from a close distance when the talented Jurre Everts managed to make a qualified save. Seagulls's players were relieved. 41 minutes into the match, Niculae Ungureanu dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Jurre Everts, 7-0. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Niculae Ungureanu took a quick shot and it went in 8-0 without a chance for Jurre Everts to make any attempt to save it. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 8-0 at half-time.

In the 51st minute, David Elodio ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jurre Everts was frozen by the shot and now it was 9-0. After a defensive mix-up in Seagulls's zone, Ödön Szily stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jurre Everts came out of the goal and Ödön Szily tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 62ndth minute of the game David Elodio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Seagulls's Jurre Everts was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 64 minutes into the match, Seagulls's goal looked a bit too open when David Elodio came free, but Jurre Everts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 65 minutes, David Elodio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but David Elodio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling David Elodio in the 71st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jurre Everts prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Niculae Ungureanu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jurre Everts was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. When SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Niculae Ungureanu in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 92ndth minute of the game David Elodio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Seagulls's Jurre Everts was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match clock showed 95 minutes, the score became 15-0 when David Elodio sped through Seagulls's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jurre Everts. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. made a substitution. Eustaquio Brufau replaced Bernardinho Alagoano. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V.'s Nisar Burkart was substituted for Niculae Ungureanu. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. SC Freiburg 1904 e.V. fully deserved thier win.
