Hipolito Osmundo started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute, Peru Alcaraz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, Velez-Malaga's Angelino Lawrence got control of the ball when Hipolito Osmundo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Peru Alcaraz's late challenge caught a Motu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Peru Alcaraz helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Motu booed when Velez-Malaga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peru Alcaraz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Crescencio Guijarro struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Łukasz Fabiański didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Velez-Malaga. After a rather tough play, Motu's Michaël Albrecht got a free kick in the 17th minute. The supporters of Velez-Malaga booed when Motu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edelmiro Filipo didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Velez-Malaga's Angelino Lawrence got control of the ball when Hipolito Osmundo tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Jim Brandt took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Angelino Lawrence to make any attempt to save it. If Delmiro Peru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Velez-Malaga's Angelino Lawrence got control of the ball when Edelmiro Filipo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Angelino Lawrence was a little too slow when Edelmiro Filipo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 42nd minute. The score was now 2-0. Velez-Malaga's defense didn't have a chance, in the 46th minute, when Hipolito Osmundo scored to the left of an out of position Angelino Lawrence, making the score, 3-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Crescencio Guijarro stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Angelino Lawrence made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hipolito Osmundo in the 54th minute of play. Crescencio Guijarro hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Emeterio Aznar hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Velez-Malaga's Angelino Lawrence played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hipolito Osmundo in the 59th minute of play. The throw-in from Emeterio Aznar in the 65th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Motu's Jairo Orti. Angelino Lawrence showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hipolito Osmundo, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Motu's Otto Broers was substituted for Hipolito Osmundo. 71 minutes had been played when some careless play by Velez-Malaga's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Jim Brandt was slow to take the kick. During this time Motu's players had a chance to rest. Motu's Jim Brandt was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Angelino Lawrence in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 74 minutes into the match, Uriel Lleir notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Velez-Malaga's Angelino Lawrence. Angelino Lawrence was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 77th minute, Delmiro Peru made a precise shot to the right of Angelino Lawrence. Velez-Malaga's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Uriel Lleir in the 80th minute of play forced Velez-Malaga's goalkeeper Angelino Lawrence to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st match minute, Velez-Malaga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Crescencio Guijarro to maneuver through the defense. After 82 minutes of play, Motu's Uriel Lleir made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Angelino Lawrence was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Uriel Lleir came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Motu fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Uriel Lleir couldn't finish the play. Velez-Malaga's Angelino Lawrence played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jim Brandt in the 88th minute of play. After some careless play in the Velez-Malaga defense, Jim Brandt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Angelino Lawrence. The Velez-Malaga fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Angelino Lawrence should have stopped the shot. In the 93rd minute, Uriel Lleir got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Velez-Malaga's Xian Vacas got a free kick in the 93rd minute. After having played for 94 minutes, Uriel Lleir managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Motu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Uriel Lleir was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Motu walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
