When the match clock showed 32 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Ali Emir Devan sped through S.S.C. NAPOLI's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Achille Albanesi. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 52nd minute Froilan Ciano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Achille Albanesi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 56th minute of the match, Alvaro Lupi tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Jiří Hasman saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.
