The referee showed Tobias Kilstedt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 6th minute, Tobias Kilstedt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arne Back scored 2-0 in the 8th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mehmet Halis Şensoy, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mehmet Halis Şensoy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tobias Kilstedt in the 11th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Tobias Kilstedt notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Van SK's Mehmet Halis Şensoy. Mehmet Halis Şensoy was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 21 minutes into the match, Henric Bållström had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mehmet Halis Şensoy. Van SK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Henric Bållström was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arne Back in the 28th minute of play forced Van SK's goalkeeper Mehmet Halis Şensoy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Roger Eriksson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mountainhammer United's supporters rose to their feet, but Roger Eriksson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Van SK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 43rd minute, when Henric Bållström scored to the left of an out of position Mehmet Halis Şensoy, making the score, 8-0. Roar Klev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferit Uçarer in the 47th minute of the match. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 8-0.

The wind increased when Arne Back made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Arne Back shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mehmet Halis Şensoy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Roar Klev made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Çetin Teber sent off a good shot on target. Mehmet Halis Şensoy didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Roger Eriksson went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 14-0 was the resulting score. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Mountainhammer United fully deserved thier win.
