In the 19th minute, Han Fan Hong reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Guto Taffarel. The goal made the score 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Mazza in the 34th minute of play forced Glemmingebro IF's goalkeeper Stanny Stopa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the match, LUIZ PANATO's goalkeeper Guto Taffarel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Samuel Utter. Arlindo de Salles hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. The supporters of LUIZ PANATO booed when Glemmingebro IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ismaele Santo De Assis Moreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th minute Luiz Mazza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stanny Stopa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the game, Ivan Säf was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Glemmingebro IF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave LUIZ PANATO the free kick. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

After 59 minutes, Pedro Luiz Paiva mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LUIZ PANATO and the Glemmingebro IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Guto Taffarel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ismaele Santo De Assis Moreira hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. LUIZ PANATO were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
