A throw-in in the 19th minute of the game was made by Rudy Hong with Gara Chian as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. In the 30th minute, Ulises Manex ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bryan Hui was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Bryan Hui showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ulises Manex in the 33rd minute of the match. But to his dismay, Mark Koh quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. 44 minutes into the match, El ABUELO FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wong Butcher came free, but Rodolfo Bertassi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 46th minute, Oakham's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Rafli Leonard fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After 47 played minutes El ABUELO FC got a freekick which was hit by Remus Bălășoiu. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ulises Manex made a kick off. El ABUELO FC's Rodolfo Bertassi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gara Chian in the 55th minute of play. Rodolfo Bertassi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wong Butcher in the 57th minute of the match. Bryan Hui didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ulises Manex went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. A wasted opportunity for El ABUELO FC. 95 minutes had been played when some careless play by Oakham's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Remus Bălășoiu was slow to take the kick. During this time El ABUELO FC's players had a chance to rest. For all the effort they put into the match, the Oakham players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for El ABUELO FC.
