With a little luck, KFC Vliegplein's Teo De Jonge got control of the ball when Hans Otterlei tried to sneak it across the goal line. Steve Hodge recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Hans Otterlei could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Teo De Jonge made a huge save. Joel Delfino showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Octaaf Bosmans, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 29th minute La Cosa Nostra were awarded a corner. Arnaldo Perpinya went to the cornerflag to take it. Teo De Jonge made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hans Otterlei in the 31st minute. Joel Delfino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diederick Englebert in the 35th minute of play. In the 38th minute of the match La Cosa Nostra got a corner. KFC Vliegplein's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Arnaldo Perpinya ran over to the corner to take the kick. La Cosa Nostra's Joel Suarez quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Piet Van Bostraeten, made in the 42nd minute of the game. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hans Otterlei stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Paul-Louis Jannes kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Teo De Jonge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hans Otterlei in the 54th minute of play. Abelardo Alvarez hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute, Hans Otterlei made a precise shot to the right of Teo De Jonge. KFC Vliegplein's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Teofilo Benvide made a great header on La Cosa Nostra's corner, it was just that KFC Vliegplein's Teo De Jonge managed to reach the ball for a save. After some careless play in the KFC Vliegplein defense, Teofilo Benvide kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Teo De Jonge. The KFC Vliegplein fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Teo De Jonge should have stopped the shot. Teo De Jonge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marciano Bizen in the 86th minute of play. Endel Darmer hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Teo De Jonge didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Marciano Bizen went, in the 94th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. La Cosa Nostra's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
