Angel Diagur was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Mauricio Luke came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Athletico Picapedrense's Hristo Stoichkov. But to his dismay, Hristo Stoichkov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 邱浩川 made in the 18th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Horaţiu Crăiță immediately put the ball in play. 19 minutes into the game, Emanuel Mendiko was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Catarinense F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Athletico Picapedrense the free kick. Mauricio Luke had in the 20thth minute some difficulties stopping Eloi Fontanella's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Keith Caputo kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hristo Stoichkov in the 33rd minute of play forced Catarinense F.C.'s goalkeeper Mauricio Luke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 35 minutes into the match, Athletico Picapedrense's Eloi Fontanella sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mauricio Luke narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 42nd match minute, Catarinense F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Garaile Vigalondo to maneuver through the defense. After 42 played minutes Catarinense F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Emanuel Mendiko. Juanito Gabucio struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Mauricio Luke didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Athletico Picapedrense. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Emanuel Mendiko was shown his second yellow card after 50 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. 61 minutes into the game, Hristo Stoichkov recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mauricio Luke. Hristo Stoichkov showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Athletico Picapedrense's Zenon Klewinski was substituted for Reno Cartagena. Jesus Sayveon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Keith Caputo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Catarinense F.C.'s Mauricio Luke got control of the ball when Eloi Fontanella tried to sneak it across the goal line. Eloi Fontanella could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Mauricio Luke made a huge save. Amarante Sierra scored 1-3 in the 67th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jesus Sayveon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Athletico Picapedrense's Orlondo Aguado was substituted for Hristo Stoichkov. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Athletico Picapedrense's goalkeeper Jesus Sayveon, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Catarinense F.C. made a substitution. Ciro Quilo replaced Garaile Vigalondo. In the 81st minute Athletico Picapedrense were awarded a corner. Juanito Gabucio went to the cornerflag to take it. Juanito Gabucio made a great header on Athletico Picapedrense's corner, it was just that Catarinense F.C.'s Mauricio Luke managed to reach the ball for a save. After 84 played minutes Athletico Picapedrense got a freekick which was hit by Eloi Fontanella. Mauricio Luke showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orlondo Aguado in the 92nd minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Angel Diagur ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jesus Sayveon was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. The Catarinense F.C. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Athletico Picapedrense were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
