After having played for 3 minutes, Paulino Goiz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Forzositos de Salamanca's supporters crossed their fingers, but Paulino Goiz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fernando Resto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 10 minutes into the game, Zinon Panteloulis was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Forzositos de Salamanca the free kick. After 12 minutes ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fernando Resto who took care of the corner kick. When Paulino Goiz came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Forzositos de Salamanca fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulino Goiz couldn't finish the play. 20 minutes into the game, Fernando Resto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Forzositos de Salamanca's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ the free kick. After 20 played minutes Forzositos de Salamanca got a freekick which was hit by Fernando Resto. A collision led to ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Loukas Skiriotis hit a great ball. In the 26th minute Tytus Klejnowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paschalis Simitis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eulalio Ubendu was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Paschalis Simitis was a little too slow when Eulalio Ubendu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 1-0. After 32 played minutes ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ got a freekick which was hit by Thodoris Chatzoudis. Eulalio Ubendu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Paschalis Simitis made a huge save. After 35 minutes, Eulalio Ubendu made it 2-0 with a short kick to the right side. ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ's Paschalis Simitis tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 39 minutes into the match, ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ's Themos Kostikos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gualterio Paublo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eulalio Ubendu got free with Paschalis Simitis in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Zinon Panteloulis got his second yellow card in the match during the 46th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Themos Kostikos made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Forzositos de Salamanca booed when ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prodromos Tsirelas didn't get a good kick on the ball. Themos Kostikos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gualterio Paublo having to interfere. After 64 played minutes Forzositos de Salamanca got a freekick which was hit by Paulino Goiz. In the 66th minute Eulalio Ubendu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paschalis Simitis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Eulalio Ubendu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Paschalis Simitis was relentless in the 68th minute of the game. In the 68thth minute of the game Eulalio Ubendu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ's Paschalis Simitis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 68 minutes, Eulalio Ubendu put it in 4-0 from a short distance just to the right of Paschalis Simitis. Paschalis Simitis took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Resto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 79th minute Eulalio Ubendu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paschalis Simitis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paschalis Simitis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eulalio Ubendu in the 84th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roldán Pensa in the 93rd minute of play forced ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ's goalkeeper Paschalis Simitis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 93 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Roldán Pensa sped through ΟΛΥΜΠΙΑΚΟΣ's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Paschalis Simitis.
