The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Godfried Teunens in the 4th minute of play forced Ciclista FC's goalkeeper Crişan Taffarel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 7 minutes into the match, La Bichineta's Felix Castel sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Crişan Taffarel narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Felix Castel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Crişan Taffarel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. Ciclista FC's Crişan Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Godfried Teunens in the 14th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Godfried Teunens left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The La Bichineta fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. 18 minutes into the match, La Bichineta's goalkeeper Silvestre Peli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bo Dogel. In the 28th minute of the match La Bichineta got a corner. Ciclista FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Poncio Justo ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on La Bichineta's corner Felix Castel fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Crişan Taffarel quite easily take care of the ball. Silvestre Peli was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cenan Savlet showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 33 minute of play. Crişan Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Godfried Teunens, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Crişan Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Godfried Teunens in the 43rd minute of the match. Ciclista FC's Crişan Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Godfried Teunens in the 44th minute of play. In the 45th match minute, Ciclista FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bo Dogel to maneuver through the defense. Crişan Taffarel came out of the goal in the 46th minute to try and stop a shot by La Bichineta's Godfried Teunens. But to his dismay, Godfried Teunens quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. After the first half La Bichineta were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Godfried Teunens was the one to do the kick off. When Godfried Teunens came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the La Bichineta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Godfried Teunens couldn't finish the play. 57 minutes into the match, La Bichineta's goal looked a bit too open when Bo Dogel came free, but Silvestre Peli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Godfried Teunens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. When Eliseo Iigo came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the La Bichineta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Iigo couldn't finish the play. Crişan Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliseo Iigo in the 76th minute of play. La Bichineta's Silvestre Peli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cenan Savlet in the 79th minute of play. In the 80th minute of the game Justo Osorio made a throw-in which Cenan Savlet played forward. With a little luck, Ciclista FC's Crişan Taffarel got control of the ball when Eliseo Iigo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ciclista FC's Crişan Taffarel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Ciclista FC from getting a goal against them. Crişan Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Iigo in the 95th minute of the match. Ciclista FC's Crişan Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Castel in the 96th minute of play. The Ciclista FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. La Bichineta were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
