Spectators: 174 (Terracing: 131, Seating: 40, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Alvaro Sforza kicked off to start the match. In the 2nd minute Ahmet Refik Ülgü shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristoforo Brillante saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 3rd minute of the match FC CSKA got a corner. AC Roma's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Georgi Dimitrov ran over to the corner to take the kick. AC Roma's Cristoforo Brillante couldn't get a good grip on the ball when Georgi Dimitrov shot the distance nicking the right pole and went into goal in the 4th minute, 1-0. When the match clock showed 6 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Alvaro Sforza sped through FC CSKA's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Georgi Velinov. After 10 played minutes AC Roma got a freekick which was hit by Angelo Donati. The corner ended in Georgi Dimitrov almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but AC Roma's Cristoforo Brillante did a great save. In the 14th minute, Bradley de Nooijer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. FC CSKA's Georgi Velinov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Javier Della Francesca in the 15th minute of play. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind AC Roma's goalkeeper Cristoforo Brillante, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Ahmet Refik Ülgü kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cristoforo Brillante. That made the score 2-1 in the 21 minute of play. 25 minutes into the match, FC CSKA's goal looked a bit too open when Fabiano Di Rocco came free, but Georgi Velinov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Georgi Dimitrov hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. FC CSKA's Georgi Velinov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Javier Della Francesca in the 27th minute of play. In the 28th minute Javier Della Francesca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Georgi Velinov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 32 played minutes AC Roma got a freekick which was hit by Fabiano Di Rocco. Ahmet Refik Ülgü recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Javier Della Francesca in the 35th minute of play forced FC CSKA's goalkeeper Georgi Velinov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Fabiano Di Rocco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ahmet Refik Ülgü's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristoforo Brillante read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. Angelo Donati hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ahmet Refik Ülgü made a kick off. Ahmet Refik Ülgü sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Georgi Velinov made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alvaro Sforza in the 55th minute. Georgi Velinov made a fantastic save in the 57th minute, when Alvaro Sforza sent off a good shot on target. 58 minutes into the match, FC CSKA's goal looked a bit too open when Alvaro Sforza came free, but Georgi Velinov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alvaro Sforza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Georgi Velinov tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. AC Roma's Cristoforo Brillante played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Refik Ülgü in the 75th minute of play. Fabiano Di Rocco's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Georgi Velinov firmly grabbed it by the left post. Téo Vieira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristoforo Brillante having to interfere. Georgi Velinov made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alvaro Sforza in the 83rd minute of play. In the 84th minute, Fabiano Di Rocco made a precise shot to the right of Georgi Velinov. FC CSKA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. Cristoforo Brillante showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruslan Dzhalev, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. If Ruslan Dzhalev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 90 minutes into the match, AC Roma's goal looked a bit too open when Ruslan Dzhalev came free, but Cristoforo Brillante reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in AC Roma fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 95th minute. Penalty! Cristoforo Brillante had in the 96thth minute some difficulties stopping Ruslan Dzhalev's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC CSKA had won after a very even match.
