The audience was convinced that Cléberson Neves's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Li Lin was relentless in the 3rd minute of the game. After 4 minutes Moose Knuckles's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Abid Bubalo who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Selebi-Phikwe's Victor Nelson to fire away a dangerous shot which Li Lin despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Li Lin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cléberson Neves in the 9th minute of play. I Putu Okbo hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cléberson Neves in the 19th minute of play forced Moose Knuckles's goalkeeper Li Lin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cléberson Neves in the 20th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Li Lin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 22nd minute, Cléberson Neves left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Selebi-Phikwe fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Christof Deroek made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wiktor Kjellqvist in the 26th minute of play. Cléberson Neves might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Li Lin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cléberson Neves ran back to his position shaking his head. Vecdet Baştürk hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cléberson Neves in the 40th minute of play forced Moose Knuckles's goalkeeper Li Lin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cléberson Neves blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Li Lin having to make a save. Li Lin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cléberson Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Moose Knuckles players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Selebi-Phikwe were winning 0-1.

Moose Knuckles made a substitution. Jedrzej Beninda replaced Vecdet Baştürk. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Selebi-Phikwe's Rubinho de Castro was substituted for Marc Thidén. Moose Knuckles's Jaunius Balčaitis was substituted for Aloyzas Valys. Moose Knuckles's Bernardas Eidintas was substituted for Venancio Nardo. After 76 played minutes Selebi-Phikwe got a freekick which was hit by Victor Lundqvist. Li Lin made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Cléberson Neves sent off a good shot on target. Jedrzej Beninda struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Christof Deroek didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Moose Knuckles. Selebi-Phikwe's I Putu Okbo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Hélio Paraíba in the 86 minute of the game. Hélio Paraíba made in the 91st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Selebi-Phikwe's I Putu Okbo. Selebi-Phikwe's Cléberson Neves got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
