After 7 played minutes CSD Pte Derqui got a freekick which was hit by Roque Martxel. 14 minutes into the game, Jan Thomas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carlisle United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CSD Pte Derqui the free kick. Jan Thomas hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Thomas-Jan Thomas received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Honorio Sarracino came out and tried to block the shot, but Thomas-Jan Thomas slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 17th minute. When CSD Pte Derqui's Zacarias Lidon in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 21st minute Roque Martxel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tod Bridgeworth saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zacarias Lidon struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Tod Bridgeworth didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CSD Pte Derqui. Tod Bridgeworth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zacarias Lidon in the 27th minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Carlisle United's goal looked a bit too open when Roque Martxel came free, but Tod Bridgeworth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Zacarias Lidon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 33rd match minute, CSD Pte Derqui was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Urbasa to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Harri Kaine got free with Honorio Sarracino in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jan Thomas was shown his second yellow card after 44 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 45 played minutes Carlisle United got a freekick which was hit by Jan Thomas. After 46 played minutes, CSD Pte Derqui's Roque Martxel shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Tod Bridgeworth came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in CSD Pte Derqui reached it. The audience was convinced that Zacarias Lidon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tod Bridgeworth was relentless in the 48th minute of the game. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Tod Bridgeworth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zacarias Lidon, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. CSD Pte Derqui's Zacarias Lidon got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Honorio Sarracino came out of the goal in the 58th minute to try and stop a shot by Carlisle United's Thomas-Jan Thomas. But to his dismay, Thomas-Jan Thomas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 65 minutes into the match, Carlisle United's goalkeeper Tod Bridgeworth had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zacarias Lidon. Zacarias Lidon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tod Bridgeworth having to make a save. After some careless play in the Carlisle United defense, Angelo Demesio kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tod Bridgeworth. The Carlisle United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tod Bridgeworth should have stopped the shot. Ignacio Nayely fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tod Bridgeworth having to interfere. When Angelo Demesio fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CSD Pte Derqui's protests and gave Angelo Demesio a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to CSD Pte Derqui getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Angelo Demesio hit a great ball. CSD Pte Derqui made a substitution. Gonzalo Rius replaced Benjamin Tadzio. Mario Lawrence sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jake Marriott's late challenge caught a CSD Pte Derqui's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jake Marriott helped the player get up and apologised. Jake Marriott hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. Carlisle United made a substitution. Jan Power replaced Harri Kaine. Jake Marriott kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Roque Martxel got free with Tod Bridgeworth in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
