Edmund Sand might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Pastor Firman. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edmund Sand ran back to his position shaking his head. Maxi Braga made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edmílson Martins in the 22nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in ♚ Bastardos del Rey ♚'s zone, Edmílson Martins stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maxi Braga came out of the goal and Edmílson Martins tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 33 played minutes Club Sportivo Quilmes got a freekick which was hit by Ludomir Witkowski. Sebastian Verón received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Maxi Braga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Maxi Braga showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Radomil Mietus in the 39th minute of the match. After 40 minutes ♚ Bastardos del Rey ♚'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Waldemar Przybylo who took care of the corner kick. Club Sportivo Quilmes's Ignacio Telo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Maxi Braga in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in.
