In the 14thth minute of the game Gerry Fleischer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Aveiro FC's Gil Gouveia was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gil Gouveia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerry Fleischer, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Christophe Mehri hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Gil Gouveia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvio Pfeifer in the 22nd minute of the match. After 25 minutes B O B I S A's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Amado Macena who took care of the corner kick. Aveiro FC's Amado Macena was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ralph Sanger in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Gil Gouveia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rudolph Bosch, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Silvano Simões hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Gil Gouveia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Irwin Hunkeler in the 36th minute of the match. Hilário Albuquerque hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Aveiro FC's goalkeeper Gil Gouveia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Gaspar Linhares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ralph Sanger was relentless in the 45th minute of the game.

When Silvano Simões came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Aveiro FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvano Simões couldn't finish the play.
