Narciso Eusko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Babür Kongurtay, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Güven Çırakoğlu in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cláudio Taffarel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 14 minutes AKÇEŞMESPOR's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Kostas Teneketzis who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Kostas Teneketzis got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Cláudio Taffarel quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Cláudio Taffarel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Stig-Inge Nymoen's shot from short distance in the 21st minute. After 33 played minutes Glyka Nera FC got a freekick which was hit by Savas Zaradoukas. In the 38th minute of the game Babür Kongurtay made a throw-in which Radoy Lagadov played forward. In the 41st minute, Natalio Centenales got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Güven Çırakoğlu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Glyka Nera FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 47th minute, when Radoy Lagadov scored to the left of an out of position Narciso Eusko, making the score, 2-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stig-Inge Nymoen was the one to do the kick off. 54 minutes had been played when some careless play by Glyka Nera FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Charlie Frisk was slow to take the kick. During this time AKÇEŞMESPOR's players had a chance to rest. Omiros Kazanis's late challenge caught a AKÇEŞMESPOR's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Omiros Kazanis helped the player get up and apologised. In a very dangerous position, a player in Glyka Nera FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 54th minute. Penalty! Narciso Eusko had in the 57thth minute some difficulties stopping Babür Kongurtay's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Cláudio Taffarel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stig-Inge Nymoen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind AKÇEŞMESPOR's goalkeeper Cláudio Taffarel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
