Nagyváradi AC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ábel Zarka was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nagyváradi AC's Jos Van Hinnendael played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elpidio Ekain in the 9th minute of play. 11 minutes into the game, Nagyváradi AC's Chu Yang Qiang nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Mercurio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Jonatan Raymundo kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Ábel Zarka's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pedro Mercurio read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ñacuñán AC's zone, Vencel Pápai stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Mercurio came out of the goal and Vencel Pápai tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Astor Guib kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jos Van Hinnendael. That made the score 2-1 in the 34 minute of play. Pedro Mercurio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jedrzej Kasprzak in the 39th minute of play. Pedro Mercurio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jedrzej Kasprzak, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 43rd match minute, Nagyváradi AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chu Yang Qiang to maneuver through the defense. Ñacuñán AC's Benicio Otoniel was substituted for Santos Cayo. Chu Yang Qiang kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elpidio Ekain in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jos Van Hinnendael prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chu Yang Qiang in the 47th minute of play forced Ñacuñán AC's goalkeeper Pedro Mercurio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The Nagyváradi AC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jos Van Hinnendael should have stopped the shot. After 75 minutes of play, Ñacuñán AC's Elpidio Ekain made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jos Van Hinnendael was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 80th match minute, Nagyváradi AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sixten Pååk to maneuver through the defense. Nagyváradi AC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Ñacuñán AC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
