Stasys Vaitkus was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 40 minutes into the match. After 40 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for The Handsome Wizards UTD! Marcial Cisquella had in the 41stth minute some difficulties stopping Jedrzej Kasprzak's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 43rd minute, Jedrzej Kasprzak left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Nagyváradi AC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Marcial Cisquella didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ákos Szél went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jedrzej Kasprzak made a kick off. A collision led to Nagyváradi AC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Chu Yang Qiang hit a great ball. Jos Van Hinnendael made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeng Bin Nan in the 69th minute of play. Marcial Cisquella stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jedrzej Kasprzak's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. If Zeng Bin Nan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jos Van Hinnendael showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Grant Groves, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After a rather tough play, The Handsome Wizards UTD's Hacı 林义亦 got a free kick in the 77th minute. The long shot by Ábel Zarka in the 77th minute really tested Marcial Cisquella's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal.
