Alejandro Rufo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Igor Cordaro having to interfere. Noqueces FC's Fernando Artaldo got a good chance for a goal in the 5th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 9 minutes into the game, Fernando Artaldo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Dante Fernendo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Noqueces FC's Igor Cordaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Denis Bonadona in the 16th minute of play. In the 16thth minute of the game Matias Bilintx who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Noqueces FC's Igor Cordaro was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 20th play minute Fernando Artaldo came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Dante Fernendo. 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Artaldo in the 24th minute of play forced Sporting de Gijón's goalkeeper Dante Fernendo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Sporting de Gijón's goalkeeper Dante Fernendo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fernando Artaldo. Igor Cordaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Matias Bilintx in the 29th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Sporting de Gijón's zone, Fernando Artaldo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dante Fernendo came out of the goal and Fernando Artaldo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sporting de Gijón's Dante Fernendo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Sporting de Gijón from getting a goal against them. Fernando Artaldo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 41 minutes, Fernando Artaldo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Noqueces FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernando Artaldo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 47 minutes into the match, Sporting de Gijón's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Artaldo came free, but Dante Fernendo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dante Fernendo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Artaldo in the 47th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Matias Bilintx to make the kick off. Igor Cordaro made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Alejandro Rufo sent off a good shot on target. Noqueces FC's Benicio Izquierdo was substituted for Fernando Artaldo. Sporting de Gijón's Venancio Emesto was substituted for Denis Bonadona. 60 minutes into the match, Noqueces FC's goal looked a bit too open when Matias Bilintx came free, but Igor Cordaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Noqueces FC booed when Sporting de Gijón was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Niceto Dominix didn't get a good kick on the ball. Noqueces FC's Igor Cordaro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Noqueces FC from getting a goal against them. Sporting de Gijón made a substitution. Mario Zanabria replaced Alejandro Rufo. In the 78th match minute, Sporting de Gijón was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diego Maradona to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Sporting de Gijón's Diego Maradona got a free kick in the 79th minute. When Niceto Dominix fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sporting de Gijón's protests and gave Niceto Dominix a yellow card for diving instead. Sporting de Gijón:s Dante Fernendo showed great skill when he stopped Santo Blasi:s penalty. If Matias Bilintx had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Saturnino Curcio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 92 minutes into the match, Noqueces FC's goal looked a bit too open when Saturnino Curcio came free, but Igor Cordaro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Igor Cordaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Saturnino Curcio in the 94th minute of the match. 95 minutes had been played when some careless play by Noqueces FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Saturnino Curcio was slow to take the kick. During this time Sporting de Gijón's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Sporting de Gijón's corner Saturnino Curcio fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Igor Cordaro quite easily take care of the ball. After having played for 97 minutes, Matias Bilintx managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sporting de Gijón's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matias Bilintx was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Many of Sporting de Gijón's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Sporting de Gijón may have spent more time on the ball, but Noqueces FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
