A throw-in in the 10th minute of the game was made by Fran Tudor with Zdzislaw Moczkiewicz as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Robert Doicaru could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Gavino Ubarna made a huge save. In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind FISHBONE 06's goalkeeper Gavino Ubarna, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Branislav Cokić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Karol Ruszkowski tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Zgierskie Zlewy's goal looked a bit too open when Joélson Laguna came free, but Karol Ruszkowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zgierskie Zlewy's Karol Ruszkowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elvir Bešimović in the 19th minute of play. Karol Ruszkowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joélson Laguna in the 21st minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joélson Laguna in the 23rd minute of play forced Zgierskie Zlewy's goalkeeper Karol Ruszkowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robert Doicaru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gavino Ubarna having to interfere. A hard shot 27 in the game by Robert Doicaru from a close distance when the talented Gavino Ubarna managed to make a qualified save. FISHBONE 06's players were relieved. Robert Doicaru who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 31stth minute tested the skills of Gavino Ubarna when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 33rd minute, Branimir Bajrić hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Branislav Cokić took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Karol Ruszkowski. Karol Ruszkowski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Rives in the 43rd minute of play forced FISHBONE 06's goalkeeper Gavino Ubarna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Karol Ruszkowski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joélson Laguna in the 45th minute of play. After 49 minutes FISHBONE 06's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Seyhun Zati who took care of the corner kick. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Robert Doicaru stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Karol Ruszkowski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Branislav Cokić, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 62nd minute of the match FISHBONE 06 got a corner. Zgierskie Zlewy's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Don John ran over to the corner to take the kick. Joélson Laguna blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Karol Ruszkowski having to make a save.
