When the match clock showed 15 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Roland Renoux sped through Xipoko's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Remo de Senna. Glauke Mihas struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Remo de Senna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for HORTALEZA FC. Roland Renoux blasted a shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Remo de Senna having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Galsino Vilanova in the 24th minute of play forced Xipoko's goalkeeper Remo de Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nildo Macedo made a kick off. In the 55thth minute of the game Roland Renoux who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Xipoko's Remo de Senna was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cícero Cruz charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cícero Cruz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When Roland Renoux in the 68th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Remo de Senna kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 0-6 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. The Xipoko fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Remo de Senna should have stopped the shot. The Xipoko fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. HORTALEZA FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
