The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Clube Audax Metropolitano's goal looked a bit too open when Well-Well Benne came free, but Franco Szczęsny reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Clube Audax Metropolitano's Franco Szczęsny played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stelian Murgu in the 8th minute of play. Haisenberg Dolar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 15thth minute tested the skills of Ovidiu Caranfil when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Haisenberg Dolar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ovidiu Caranfil was relentless in the 18th minute of the game. 20 minutes had been played when some careless play by Club Vertigo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Shi Ying Jian was slow to take the kick. During this time Clube Audax Metropolitano's players had a chance to rest. Clube Audax Metropolitano's Shi Ying Jian was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ovidiu Caranfil in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. But to his dismay, Stelian Murgu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. With a little luck, Club Vertigo's Ovidiu Caranfil got control of the ball when Haisenberg Dolar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ovidiu Caranfil made an important save on a dangerous shot by Haisenberg Dolar in the 29th minute. Clube Audax Metropolitano's Franco Szczęsny played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ştefan Panțuru in the 31st minute of play. The Club Vertigo fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when Club Vertigo's Well-Well Benne looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 34 minutes of play, Clube Audax Metropolitano's Claudinho Quadros made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ovidiu Caranfil was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Clube Audax Metropolitano getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Emanuel Esteves hit a great ball. In the 40th minute, Clube Audax Metropolitano's Haisenberg Dolar dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-2. Wang Jun Bo made in the 45th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Clube Audax Metropolitano's Emanuel Esteves. Ovidiu Caranfil came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Clube Audax Metropolitano's Bjørn Ironside. But to his dismay, Bjørn Ironside quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. The supporters of Clube Audax Metropolitano booed when Club Vertigo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vasile Iurea didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Haisenberg Dolar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 71 minutes into the game, Wang Jun Bo threw the ball into play from the sideline. Clube Audax Metropolitano's Alfredinho Rosa quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Ovidiu Caranfil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Haisenberg Dolar, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Vasile Iurea kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. In the 95th match minute, Club Vertigo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Carlos to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Clube Audax Metropolitano fans cheered their team off the field, for while Club Vertigo had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
