The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Stelian Murgu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ovidiu Caranfil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Krystian Żmuda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 5 minutes into the game, Club Vertigo's Stelian Murgu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hubert Sharp made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the last second Hubert Sharp throw himself and got hold of the ball when Well-Well Benne in the 9thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Ştefan Panțuru managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Vertigo's supporters rose to their feet, but Ştefan Panțuru was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hubert Sharp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hubert Sharp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stelian Murgu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With an all-out effort, Club Vertigo's Hubert Sharp threw himself towards the right post 17 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Well-Well Benne, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Hubert Sharp didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Well-Well Benne went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. 25 minutes into the match, Club Vertigo's Stelian Murgu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hubert Sharp narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Hubert Sharp made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Well-Well Benne in the 28th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Well-Well Benne kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hubert Sharp. That made the score 3-0 in the 29 minute of play. After 32 minutes, Aurelian Remus mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the AFC Richmond and the Club Vertigo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, AFC Richmond's Aurelian Remus got a free kick in the 33rd minute. AFC Richmond's defense didn't have a chance, in the 37th minute, when Stelian Murgu scored to the left of an out of position Hubert Sharp, making the score, 4-0. If Ştefan Panțuru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Veto Steller in the 44th minute of play forced Club Vertigo's goalkeeper Ovidiu Caranfil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Romulo Lluis's late challenge caught a AFC Richmond's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Romulo Lluis helped the player get up and apologised. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Veto Steller was the one to do the kick off. After 51 played minutes Club Vertigo got a freekick which was hit by Ştefan Panțuru. Ovidiu Caranfil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dorian Bray in the 52nd minute of play. Ovidiu Caranfil took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Veto Steller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Club Vertigo's Ovidiu Caranfil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Veto Steller in the 56th minute of play. In the 61st match minute, AFC Richmond was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dewayne Michaud to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dorian Bray in the 67th minute of play forced Club Vertigo's goalkeeper Ovidiu Caranfil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Club Vertigo getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Well-Well Benne hit a great ball. Vasile Iurea hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Krystian Żmuda kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the game, one of AFC Richmond:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. A nice corner shot did that Emilian Moți got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Hubert Sharp quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 93rd match minute, AFC Richmond was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Barnabas Hanslow to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of AFC Richmond booed when Club Vertigo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Deyan Iordănescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 98th minute, Erasmo Merchant hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in AFC Richmond's zone, Well-Well Benne stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hubert Sharp came out of the goal and Well-Well Benne tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Club Vertigo fans cheered their team off the field, for while AFC Richmond had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
