Olívio Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto-Federico Acosta in the 15th minute of play. After 16 minutes Olympiacos FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Camilo Inge who took care of the corner kick. Olívio Correia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andreas Björkdahl in the 18th minute of play. 19 minutes had been played when some careless play by Olympiacos FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Camilo Inge was slow to take the kick. During this time República de la Boca's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Camilo Inge almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Olympiacos FC's Olívio Correia did a great save. Olívio Correia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tincho Palermo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 29th minute, Flavio Bonfigli ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Olívio Correia was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Olívio Correia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavio Bonfigli, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. República de la Boca's Gustavo Gabriel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Themos Proedropoulos in the 38th minute of play. 40 minutes into the match, Olympiacos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Andreas Björkdahl came free, but Olívio Correia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matías Factor hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Themos Proedropoulos charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Themos Proedropoulos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 46th match minute, Olympiacos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Themos Proedropoulos to maneuver through the defense. Olympiacos FC made a substitution. Lakis Xanthis replaced Andreas Kousoulakis. After the first half República de la Boca were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tincho Palermo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The throw-in from Sergio Herena in the 54th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Olympiacos FC's Sakis Paragioudakis. The crowd rose to their feet as Alberto-Federico Acosta kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Olívio Correia. That made the score 0-2 in the 56 minute of play. Olympiacos FC's Paschalis Stavrakos was substituted for Manolis Vounatsos. Olívio Correia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberto-Federico Acosta, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. After 72 played minutes Olympiacos FC got a freekick which was hit by Grigoris Kitrinidis. Olympiacos FC's Olívio Correia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Camilo Inge in the 72nd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Severino Di Giovanni's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Olívio Correia was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. 83 minutes into the game, Flavio Bonfigli cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-4. Olívio Correia was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Olívio Correia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Andreas Björkdahl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. República de la Boca's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
