Valdir Pérez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonides Chago, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. Leonides Chago succeeded in the game's 11th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. 15 minutes into the match, União Verde FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leonides Chago came free, but Valdir Pérez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 17 minutes into the game, RACINGUS's Leonides Chago nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valdir Pérez made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Håkan Wiklund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bebeto de Salles in the 20th minute of play. Valdir Pérez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonides Chago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the match, União Verde FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leonides Chago came free, but Valdir Pérez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. RACINGUS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Antonio Quinton in the 25th minute. After taking down the ball on RACINGUS's corner Antonio Quinton fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Valdir Pérez quite easily take care of the ball. In the 27th minute Leonides Chago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valdir Pérez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. RACINGUS were awarded a corner in the 29th minute after União Verde FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Antonio Quinton took the corner. Amador Raymond kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. União Verde FC's Gil Paiva shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 35th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Håkan Wiklund but with some difficulty. União Verde FC's Valdir Pérez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonides Chago in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th minute of the match RACINGUS got a corner. União Verde FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Antonio Quinton ran over to the corner to take the kick. Antonio Quinton made a great header on RACINGUS's corner, it was just that União Verde FC's Valdir Pérez managed to reach the ball for a save. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leonides Chago to make the kick off. Valdir Pérez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonides Chago in the 54th minute of the match. With a little luck, União Verde FC's Valdir Pérez got control of the ball when Baldomiro Herrera tried to sneak it across the goal line. Leonides Chago blasted a shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valdir Pérez having to make a save. In the 94th minute, União Verde FC's José Augusto Falcão seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed José Augusto Falcão the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of União Verde FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and José Augusto Falcão had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 93rd minute of the game. One of União Verde FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of RACINGUS:s goal. The goalkeeper, Valdir Pérez, was totally fooled by RACINGUS's Antonio Quinton, who 96 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Valdir Pérez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonides Chago, who was totally free with the ball in the 99th minute.
