An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingmar Wiman in the 9th minute of play forced Club Puerto Quito's goalkeeper Mauricio Precioso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Puerto Quito's Rufino Giron slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Kristoffer Martinsson. That made the score 1-0 after 10 minutes of play. When Deportivo Empate's Ingmar Wiman in the 16th minute got a chance for a shot 16th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of Club Puerto Quito booed when Deportivo Empate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evrosi Kalmushki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Santiago Huemen in the 25th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Justo Mano took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 42nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mauricio Precioso. Club Puerto Quito's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 43rd minute Deportivo Empate were awarded a corner. Justo Mano went to the cornerflag to take it. Mauricio Precioso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingmar Wiman in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Nickolai Skivild could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 51st minute of the match, but Mauricio Precioso made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Deportivo Empate's Janich Chayawi got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Mauricio Precioso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ingmar Wiman in the 55th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diego Narbona during the 57th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Diego Narbona hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Deportivo Empate made a substitution. Stefano Abaunza replaced Silvestre Salvado. Mauricio Precioso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nickolai Skivild in the 61st minute. In the 69th minute, Ingmar Wiman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mauricio Precioso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ingmar Wiman in the 72nd minute of the match. With a left leg Mauricio Precioso saved Club Puerto Quito from getting behind. 86 minutes into the match, Ayoví Costoya notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Deportivo Empate's Kristoffer Martinsson. Kristoffer Martinsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Benet Hierro made in the 91st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Club Puerto Quito's Erdinç Hayırlı. Beniamin Bendyk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 95 minutes, Mauricio Precioso successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post.
