A beautiful save bye SK Annenieki's goalie prevented a goal. Artūrs Sagalats recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind SK Annenieki's goalkeeper Jānis Lielais, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. MAFFIAN's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Börje Frisk in the 21st minute. A nice corner shot did that Börje Frisk got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jānis Lielais quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a rather tough play, MAFFIAN's Greger Broberg got a free kick in the 24th minute. Vincent Linberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Jānis Lielais tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Artūrs Sagalats took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Aron Dahlbom. Aron Dahlbom dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Aron Dahlbom made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Reinholds Jaunzems sent off a good shot on target. MAFFIAN's Aron Dahlbom proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save MAFFIAN from getting a goal against them. Jānis Lielais stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Andre Agassi's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. After some careless play in the MAFFIAN defense, Artūrs Sagalats kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Aron Dahlbom. The MAFFIAN fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Aron Dahlbom should have stopped the shot. After 47 played minutes MAFFIAN got a freekick which was hit by Patrik Zachrisson. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Artūrs Sagalats was the one to do the kick off. Reinholds Jaunzems sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. MAFFIAN's Alex Vallin was substituted for Östen Vennersten. In the 63rd minute, Rasmus Kilberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. SK Annenieki's Jāzeps Pics got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 72 minutes into the match, SK Annenieki's goal looked a bit too open when Mats Wilander came free, but Jānis Lielais reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. MAFFIAN's Kristoffer Nyberg was substituted for Börje Frisk. Jānis Lielais made a fantastic save in the 75th minute, when Alex Vallin sent off a good shot on target. In the 78th minute Reinholds Jaunzems shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aron Dahlbom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 87th minute Indris Tomass shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aron Dahlbom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 88 played minutes SK Annenieki got a freekick which was hit by Mareks Belis. SK Annenieki's Vilis Lettlands was substituted for Indris Tomass. SK Annenieki made a substitution. Santis Krūzītis replaced Renāts Skipors. A collision led to SK Annenieki getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Mareks Belis hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rasmus Kilberg during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 92 played minutes MAFFIAN got a freekick which was hit by Rasmus Kilberg. In the 93rd minute of the match Reinholds Jaunzems sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Aron Dahlbom skillfully saved the ball. 97 minutes into the match, SK Annenieki's goalkeeper Jānis Lielais had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pete Sampras. SK Annenieki walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
