Marco Isias was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 46 played minutes FC NILS got a freekick which was hit by Merry Christmann. Åke Utter stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Igor Serapio's shot from short distance in the 47th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bill Fitzpatrick was the one to do the kick off. Marco Isias didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC NILS. When Hugo Chumo fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Villa Castelar's protests and gave Hugo Chumo a yellow card for diving instead. If Gregorio Rexino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Åke Utter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicasio Ilazki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Villa Castelar manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing FC NILS to win.
