Anestis Kotsopoulos ran back to his position shaking his head. 4 minutes into the match, Alfonso Goicoechea notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns. August Hoffmanns was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. August Hoffmanns stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfonso Goicoechea's shot from short distance in the 8th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Cervezanegra A.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Ansgar Küpper-Adebisi came free, but Filiberto Oso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Maximilian Henning charged in rather forcefully in the 11th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maximilian Henning the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 11 played minutes Rot-Weiss-Essen got a freekick which was hit by Maximilian Henning. In the 16th minute, Rot-Weiss-Essen's Anestis Kotsopoulos dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. 21 minutes into the match, Cervezanegra A.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Anestis Kotsopoulos came free, but Filiberto Oso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. August Hoffmanns stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pablo Solari's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. In the 25th minute, Alfonso Goicoechea made a precise shot to the right of August Hoffmanns. Rot-Weiss-Essen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Alfonso Goicoechea took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised August Hoffmanns. August Hoffmanns dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. In the 33rd minute, Tadeo Rainerio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hugo Haupt got free with Filiberto Oso in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Cervezanegra A.C.'s Pablo Solari in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Alfonso Goicoechea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but August Hoffmanns was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Pablo Solari received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 50th minute. August Hoffmanns tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alfonso Goicoechea in the 52nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Haupt in the 54th minute of play forced Cervezanegra A.C.'s goalkeeper Filiberto Oso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Alfonso Goicoechea took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for August Hoffmanns to make any attempt to save it. In the 58th minute Maximilian Henning shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filiberto Oso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 60 minutes, Alfonso Goicoechea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cervezanegra A.C.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfonso Goicoechea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cervezanegra A.C.'s Alfonso Goicoechea got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 66th minute, Alfonso Goicoechea left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Cervezanegra A.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-6. 69 minutes into the game, Alfonso Goicoechea lined in a short shot 1-7 behind a frustrated August Hoffmanns. When the match clock showed 74 minutes, the score became 1-8 when Alfonso Goicoechea sped through Rot-Weiss-Essen's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of August Hoffmanns. Alfonso Goicoechea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Without hesitation aimed to the right of August Hoffmanns, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 81stth minute of the game Alfonso Goicoechea who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 84 minutes in the game, Alfonso Goicoechea fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without August Hoffmanns having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Alfonso Goicoechea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cervezanegra A.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Alfonso Goicoechea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. August Hoffmanns breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. August Hoffmanns had great luck who in the 88thth minute grab hold of the ball when Alfonso Goicoechea from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 90th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalkeeper August Hoffmanns, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 95th minute, Alfonso Goicoechea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cervezanegra A.C.'s fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
