August Hoffmanns showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kobe Bryant in the 3rd minute of the match. Ona Somrient FC were awarded a corner in the 8th minute after Rot-Weiss-Essen's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Enzo Herrero took the corner. Enzo Herrero made a great header on Ona Somrient FC's corner, it was just that Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns managed to reach the ball for a save. Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kobe Bryant in the 11th minute of play. In the 15th minute Ona Somrient FC were awarded a corner. Enzo Herrero went to the cornerflag to take it. Kobe Bryant took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised August Hoffmanns. August Hoffmanns dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Leif-Eric Albrecht got a throw-in 28 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Ansgar Küpper-Adebisi. 29 minutes into the match, Ona Somrient FC's Kobe Bryant sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that August Hoffmanns narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalkeeper August Hoffmanns, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 38th minute, Kobe Bryant left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ona Somrient FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. August Hoffmanns came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Ona Somrient FC's Kobe Bryant. But to his dismay, Kobe Bryant quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kobe Bryant to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Ona Somrient FC's Kobe Bryant sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that August Hoffmanns narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 52nd play minutes Kobe Bryant shot 0-4, a short shot which went by August Hoffmanns and just under the crossbar into goal. 56 minutes into the game, Kobe Bryant recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of August Hoffmanns. Kobe Bryant showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-5. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fernan Alcantara got free with August Hoffmanns in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns got control of the ball when Enzo Herrero tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Rot-Weiss-Essen getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Hugo Haupt hit a great ball. 67 minutes into the game, Kobe Bryant lined in a short shot 0-6 behind a frustrated August Hoffmanns. 70 minutes into the game, Ona Somrient FC's Kobe Bryant nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. August Hoffmanns made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-7. Kobe Bryant took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised August Hoffmanns. August Hoffmanns dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-8. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Fernan Alcantara managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ona Somrient FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Fernan Alcantara was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. August Hoffmanns breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Fernan Alcantara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 86 minutes into the match, Enzo Herrero had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of August Hoffmanns. Rot-Weiss-Essen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Enzo Herrero was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-9. When Ona Somrient FC's Kobe Bryant in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalie prevented a goal. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
