With 5 minutes on the clock, Felix Balzer commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 4th minute, one of Rot-Weiss-Essen:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Rot-Weiss-Essen. Alfonso Goicoechea in the 10thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of August Hoffmanns, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to Rot-Weiss-Essen getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Mesut Özil hit a great ball. Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Rot-Weiss-Essen from getting a goal against them. Ansgar Küpper-Adebisi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Filiberto Oso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pablo Solari might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over August Hoffmanns. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pablo Solari ran back to his position shaking his head. August Hoffmanns stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alfonso Goicoechea's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. After 25 minutes Rot-Weiss-Essen's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Albert Linberg who took care of the corner kick. Christoph Beckert's late challenge caught a Cervezanegra A.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christoph Beckert helped the player get up and apologised. With his leg August Hoffmanns managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when Cervezanegra A.C.'s Pablo Solari fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfonso Goicoechea in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck August Hoffmanns prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfonso Goicoechea in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg August Hoffmanns saved Rot-Weiss-Essen from getting behind. In the 37th minute, Cervezanegra A.C.'s Pablo Solari dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 3-0. Alfonso Goicoechea succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-0 in the 39th playminute. Alfonso Goicoechea received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. August Hoffmanns tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 5-0.

In the 56th match minute, Rot-Weiss-Essen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christoph Beckert to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfonso Goicoechea in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck August Hoffmanns prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience cheered when Albert Linberg's long shot passed August Hoffmanns's right side. It was 6-0, 59 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Rot-Weiss-Essen defense, Alfonso Goicoechea kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of August Hoffmanns. The Rot-Weiss-Essen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that August Hoffmanns should have stopped the shot. 68 minutes into the match, Rot-Weiss-Essen's goal looked a bit too open when Alfonso Goicoechea came free, but August Hoffmanns reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 72nd minute, Alfonso Goicoechea made a precise shot to the right of August Hoffmanns. Rot-Weiss-Essen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 8-0. Cervezanegra A.C. made a substitution. Tadeo Rainerio replaced Kaisar Sözer. August Hoffmanns didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alfonso Goicoechea went, in the 76th minute, to the upper right corner, 9-0 was the resulting score. Alfonso Goicoechea's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but August Hoffmanns read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. When Cervezanegra A.C.'s Alfonso Goicoechea in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rot-Weiss-Essen's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Alfonso Goicoechea managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cervezanegra A.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Alfonso Goicoechea was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. August Hoffmanns breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. August Hoffmanns showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfonso Goicoechea in the 83rd minute of the match. August Hoffmanns came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Cervezanegra A.C.'s Alfonso Goicoechea. But to his dismay, Alfonso Goicoechea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 11-0. 93 minutes into the match, Pablo Solari notched a goal, 12-0, to the right of Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns. August Hoffmanns was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There was no doubt that Cervezanegra A.C. were the better team. Cervezanegra A.C.'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
