The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Terremoto FC's Kenneth Libesoons proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 3rd minute of the match, managed to save Terremoto FC from getting a goal against them. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Stintino FC's goalkeeper Antonello Ranieri, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 4 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Stintino FC! 7 minutes into the match, Terremoto FC's Shi Ming sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Antonello Ranieri narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Shi Ming's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Antonello Ranieri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. Kenneth Libesoons took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arrigo Iannucci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Shi Ming came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Terremoto FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Shi Ming couldn't finish the play. After 21 played minutes Terremoto FC got a freekick which was hit by Hilario Duarte. Terremoto FC's Kenneth Libesoons played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arrigo Iannucci in the 24th minute of play. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Stintino FC's goalkeeper Antonello Ranieri, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 32nd minute Shi Ming shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonello Ranieri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Terremoto FC were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after Stintino FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Hilario Duarte took the corner. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Shi Ming in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antonello Ranieri prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Shi Ming in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Antonello Ranieri saved Stintino FC from getting behind. Antonello Ranieri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Shi Ming's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Elia Scalabrino got a throw-in 45 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Attilio Losito. Alex Rizzo came free with the goalkeeper in the 47th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Kenneth Libesoons could save by the left post. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arrigo Iannucci to strike the kick off in the second half. If Shi Ming had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Stintino FC's Antonello Ranieri proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Stintino FC from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Shi Ming got free with Antonello Ranieri in the 56th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arrigo Iannucci in the 58th minute of play forced Terremoto FC's goalkeeper Kenneth Libesoons to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Shi Ming could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Antonello Ranieri made a huge save. 62 minutes into the match, Terremoto FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alex Rizzo came free, but Kenneth Libesoons reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Shi Ming kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Antonello Ranieri. That made the score 0-1 in the 66 minute of play. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Shi Ming took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Antonello Ranieri to make any attempt to save it. Kenneth Libesoons showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arrigo Iannucci, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Stintino FC's zone, Shi Ming stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antonello Ranieri came out of the goal and Shi Ming tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Shi Ming in the 81stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Antonello Ranieri, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Shi Ming's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Antonello Ranieri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. In the 85th minute Alberto Iezzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kenneth Libesoons saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A hard shot 90 in the game by Shi Ming from a close distance when the talented Antonello Ranieri managed to make a qualified save. Stintino FC's players were relieved.
