In the 13th match minute, Esquadrão Lusitano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vasco Lobato to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Radamel Oakley in the 15th minute of play forced Esquadrão Lusitano's goalkeeper Edwin Almodovar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Radamel Oakley's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edwin Almodovar was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. In the 29th minute Radamel Oakley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edwin Almodovar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Surahammar's Carl Engström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Surahammar from getting a goal against them. The supporters of Esquadrão Lusitano booed when Surahammar was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Radamel Oakley didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Radamel Oakley put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Edwin Almodovar. Edwin Almodovar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Radamel Oakley, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Radamel Oakley in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edwin Almodovar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 44th minute, Concetto Chelodi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The Esquadrão Lusitano players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Surahammar were winning 0-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Concetto Chelodi made a kick off. Vasco Lobato made in the 54th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Afonso Pinhal. In the 55th minute Radamel Oakley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edwin Almodovar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vasco Lobato hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. After 64 played minutes Surahammar got a freekick which was hit by Billy Fristedt. André Pettersson received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Edwin Almodovar came out and tried to block the shot, but André Pettersson slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 69th minute. Carl Engström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Concetto Chelodi in the 72nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Concetto Chelodi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Esquadrão Lusitano's supporters rose to their feet, but Concetto Chelodi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carl Engström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 74 minutes, Seyfullah Ayık mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Esquadrão Lusitano and the Surahammar players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Esquadrão Lusitano getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Seyfullah Ayık hit a great ball. In the 75th minute, Surahammar's Victor Santxol dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. The supporters of Surahammar booed when Esquadrão Lusitano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Concetto Chelodi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edwin Almodovar was a little too slow when Victor Santxol got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 78th minute. The score was now 0-5. After a rather tough play, Surahammar's Victor Santxol got a free kick in the 87th minute. After some careless play in the Esquadrão Lusitano defense, Victor Santxol kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Edwin Almodovar. The Esquadrão Lusitano fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Edwin Almodovar should have stopped the shot. Surahammar's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
