Luis Love fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Petito having to interfere. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Elivélton de Queirós the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Vulcanos protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Elivélton de Queirós had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 35th minute, one of Vulcanos:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Vulcanos.
