After a rather tough play, Vulcanos's Elivélton de Queirós got a free kick in the 9th minute. In the 11th minute, Elivélton de Queirós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 12th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vulcanos's goalkeeper Cristiano Petito, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Benedicto Astigar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Válbson Meirelles, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 22nd minute, Mané Pimenta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Vulcanos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 25th minute, Joel Davis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Válbson Meirelles came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Vulcanos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Válbson Meirelles couldn't finish the play. Dhritiman Judge could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Cristiano Petito made a huge save. Nilson Jacinto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Benedicto Astigar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cristiano Petito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paulo Dominix, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Enrique Marinho fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Vulcanos's protests and gave Enrique Marinho a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Vulcanos getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Enrique Marinho hit a great ball. When CADU de Zarate's Dhritiman Judge, in the 37th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for CADU de Zarate. Dhritiman Judge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nilson Jacinto charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nilson Jacinto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

If Enrique Marinho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benedicto Astigar was a little too slow when Válbson Meirelles got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 1-2. Benedicto Astigar made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Mané Pimenta sent off a good shot on target. If Andres Lander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andres Lander kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Mané Pimenta could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Benedicto Astigar made a huge save. Cristiano Petito took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dhritiman Judge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristiano Petito came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by CADU de Zarate's Dhritiman Judge. But to his dismay, Dhritiman Judge quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Dhritiman Judge blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cristiano Petito having to make a save. The audience was convinced that Dhritiman Judge's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristiano Petito was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dhritiman Judge in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Cristiano Petito saved Vulcanos from getting behind. Agostinho Goiano kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
